Shakin' it with Shakespeare... American style.

Good news for you... I finally bought myself a journal! So now I can just give you the Highlights instead of the day to day basics!!!
For starters...
I love the Globe so much.

Last Tuesday night we all went to Shakespeare's Globe Theater to see Merry Wives of Windsor.  It was absolutely hilarious!! I thought it was going to be awful to stand there for three hours but the actors were so entertaining that I didn't even notice.

I loved the Globe so much that I went again yesterday with Andrea to see Henry IV part 1. I am also going this Saturday to the final performance of part 2! I'm so excited.
Since we went to the Globe,  the next day was jammed pack with all things Shakespeare. We went to the home where his wife grew up, his mom's house (Mary Arden's house. It was a farm. It smelled. I hated it.), his birthplace, his last home, his daughter's home and his grave! Stratford-upon-Avon is beautiful even in the pouring rain.

On Friday we went to Kew Gardens for our field trip. I saw lots of greenhouse and beautiful plants. This is in front of the Princess Diana Conservatory Greenhouse.

Saturday for lunch a large group went to none other than the classic Hard Rock Cafe. For those ignorant people out there, the Hard Rock Cafe in London is the one that started them all!! Eric Clapton and Pete Townshend's guitars still remain above the bar.
While there, I realized that as much as I love London, I am an American. And what is more American than a cheeseburger, fries and a chocolate milkshake!
