Gay or European?!

This is us outside the National Gallery. Trafalgar Square and Big Ben are in the background.
Today was just another fantastic day in London! Only one class this morning then I was off to the museums to do homework assignments. First I went to the National Gallery to see some Van Eyck, Durer, Bellini and a whole bunch of other artists. Then I was off to the National Portrait Gallery to see portraits of the monarchs of the Tudor and Elizabethian eras. I also saw a sketch of Jane Austen done by her sister Cassandra.
Man, I love my homework assignments!!! I never thought I would ever say that in my life, but it's true. It's so incredible that I can sit in class and learn about a painting then spend the afternoon in a museum sitting in front of the painting.

For dinner tonight we had fish n' chips. I felt so British. Our facility director, Dave Shuler, is in charge of our breakfasts and dinners. Everyone gets to be on kitchen crew for two weeks while we are here.

After dinner, Devri, Anne, Morgan, Mackenzie and I went to see Legally Blonde the Musical! It was amazing. I love that musical so much. It is such a fun, and cheerful musical. I had seen this musical a few months ago in Salt Lake. I never noticed how much American culture is in that musical until tonight when I was surrounded by a whole bunch of British people who didn't get some of the jokes that I thought were hysterical! There were many times when I would bust up laughter only to realize there were very few laughing along with me. But all the Europeans thought the song 'Gay of European' was hysterical, and it was!

Loved it!

Cheers!
